Billy Kroeger Obituary
Billy L. Kroeger I
September 27, 1970 – October 11, 2025
Billy "Chubs" Lee Kroeger I, age 55 of Monroe, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, October 11, 2025.
Born September 27, 1970 in Monroe. Billy was the son of the late Robert Sr. and Sandra (Sundberg) Kroeger. Billy attended Jefferson High School.
Billy worked as a Hi-Lo Driver for many years. Although when he wasn't working, he was always working for others. He was a jack of a trades and would take on other people's projects and handy jobs that they needed done.
He was a long-time member of the Brest Bay Sportsman Club, where the family spent many fun times and celebrating holidays. He and his son, Billy, also enjoyed playing in the Longbranch Lagoon pool league every Sunday night together.
Billy had a great sense of humor; while working in his vegetable garden he would often joke that "he may not have a thumb, but it was a green one!" and could grow anything and watch it flourish. He also had his four-legged companion by his side, Lucky.
Billy was one of a kind and a great friend. You could always count on him to be there for you in any situation. Once you became his friend, you were like family. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his children and especially his grandkids who he absolutely cherished.
Beloved father of Samantha Champagne, Billy Kroeger II, Shane Boring, and Casey Boring. Loving grandfather of Aurora, Shy, Tyler, Kyle, and Leana. Dear brother of Richard, Jodi, Larry, Thomas, and Paul Kroeger. Also survived by former spouse, Brenda Bezeau and many nieces and nephews, who lovingly called him Uncle Chubs.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Kroeger; and stepfather, Jack Bashaw, who mainly raised him as his own growing up.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home from 1 to 8 pm, with a funeral service at 7 pm. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow.
