Billy Oliver Obituary
Billy L. Oliver, 86, of Charlotte passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 24, 2012.
Mr. Oliver was born in Chesterfield, SC the youngest of seven children born to the late John Franklin and Katie Knight Oliver. He joined his loving wife Mary Elizabeth Oliver who preceded him on May 22, 2005.
Mr. Oliver is survived by four children, Debra Sherrin (James), Janet Sisk, Julie Smith (Craig) and Wayne Oliver (Teresa), 10 grandchildren, and 2 great-granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 11AM at Sunset Memory Gardens.
The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Whalen of Mint Hill Primary Care, Dr. Ted Clontz and staff of Lake Park Nursing and Rehab and Hospice of Charlotte for all the loving care and support they provided Mr. Oliver and his family.

Merry Christmas Daddy, I missed you today, but I know you and Mama had a great day together. I've been thinking about my christmas' as a little girl and how great they were. I have wonderful memories to cherish and look back on. Thanks Dad. Love you and miss you always.

Happy Father's Day Daddy !!! Miss you and love you. But I know you had a great day. I started my day watching Dr. Stanley like we always did on Sunday's and as usual he had a great sermon. LOL

My favorite Uncle,Uncle Billy Oliver;-) You are gone but will never be forgotten! You cut my ears off and put them in your pockets and my nose and would hide it too and I would fall for it everytime. But I still have my ears and nose. The trips to Sam's Sandwich shop. Spending the nights, The days ln the SHOP, weekends, and week's at a time... and I know Aunt Mary, Great grandma, my Paw-paw/your brother, Aunt Minnie, Aunt Evlyn, Maw-maw, Dea, Bobby, Daddy/Byron and Many, many more were at the Golden gates when you arrived at the golden gates and golden streets, where you will not worry or be worried anymore, No more Pain, no more President's to worry you.... Uncle Billy, I LOVED to just sit and talk to you, and hear your old timey stories! You were a wonderful, Son, husband, DADDY, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Son-in-law Father-in-law, brother, UNCLE, Brother-in-law, Nephew, Cousin, FRIEND, Neighbor!
