Loretta Washington
Miss Washington, 52, of 1636 Dewberry Terrace, Charlotte, died January 1, 2009. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 10th at Grier's Funeral Chapel, Charlotte, NC, Pastor Hazel Washington officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., on Saturday at the funeral home.
Born in Mecklenburg County, Miss Washington was a Fire Control officer at Duke Power. She is survived by her fiance, Everette 'Buddy' Ellerbe, brother, Mayfield Washington (Evelyn), daughters, SerPrenna Washington Allen (Charles), Eboney Washington Luckey (Alexander), and grandchildren, CaDeam Allen, TyBria Washington, DaVontay Rushing, CaDaeja Washington, VonTavian Washington, DaMazio Rushing and Kalyn Allen, all of Charlotte.
Grier Funeral Service is assisting the Washington Family.

I was fortunate to have a wonderful mother who raised me to do my best whatever the situation. She reminded me as long as I tried I would never fail. I will continue to do my best in every aspect of my life. I know she will always be with me and one day we will be together again.
