Carlos Nesbit Obituary
Mr. Nesbit, 42, of Charlotte, NC passed away on January 2, 2011 at Presbyterian Hospital-Huntersville.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Revella Ham Nesbit, and daughter, Thandi E. Nesbit.
Funeral service is Friday, January 7, 2011, 12:00 PM and visitation 30 minutes prior to the service, New Birth-Charlotte, 17001 New Birth Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078.
Arrangements entrusted to Long & Son Mortuary Service, 2312 Beatties Ford Rd., Charlotte, NC 28216, and W.M. Smith-McNeal Funeral Home, Inc., 4129 Highway 17 North, Awendaw, SC 29429.

Carlos Elijah...A true friend that I always admired. He was full of ambition and set seemingly impossible goals, but was never afraid of failure. He pushed for the best out of me and always expected me to do more; "...come on, don't settle for that..." He had a vision for himself and always wanted more. A rare breed that I will always admire: A great joker and prankster; one of a kind. I love and admire you my brother. Still in disbelief and shock, but thankful for the time that I was allowed to spend with you: School, library weekends, Army, hanging out...every moment was CLASSIC!

missed because he was truly a kind and wonderful man. Jarvis and Carlos friendship goes back to public school years, continue during USC-Columbia years. The friendship bond was so close that ironically we share the same wedding anniversary date and year. Carlos never met a stranger and he will be missed but always be in our HEARTS.

Carlos...what a guy. He was a go-getter & destined to succeed. Through high school together, college together & then meeting up again in the U.S Army, he always had his sights set up & forward. When he sent me a family picture while I was overseas,all I could do was smile because he was the constant success & this time, in being a husband & father. Carlos was a kind hearted and nice person to have known. My family and I have had the pleasure of knowing Carlos and his family ever since we were children. Carlos was a true Christian gentleman, devoted father and dependable co-worker. As a fellow Disabled Vet. I appreciated his sacrifice to our country and his responsible civic mindedness. I will miss him as a friend and wish his family the solemnities of Epiphany and Ascension.
