Charles Conner Obituary

Mr. Charles E. Conner, -- 76, of Indian Trail died Wednesday December 4, 2002 at Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews. A funeral service will be 11:00AM Saturday December 7, 2002 at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, 4431 Old Monroe Road, with Reverend Neal Brantley officiating. Internment will follow the service at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Conner was born in Rutherford County on April 8, 1926 to the late Edgar and Lilly Conner. He retired from Charlotte Pipe and Foundry. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Conner, sisters, Eva Conner, Ellie Cloninger, and Nellie Conner, and brother, J. C. Conner.
His survivors include, daughters, Brenda Norket of Kings Mountain, Pam Kirby and husband Randy of Concord, sons, Tony Conner of Indian Trail, Alan Conner of Polkton, brother, Clifford Conner and wife Jo Evelyn of Rutherfordton, sister, Margie Meggison of Flint, MI, grandchildren, Joshua and Kent Orr, Jason and Leah Norket, Charlie Conner, and great grandson, Chandler Williams.
The family requests memorials be sent to Union Grove United Methodist Church, 8708 Indian Trail Fairview Road, Indian Trail, NC 28079.
Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Indian Trail/Matthews.

Cotton was my Uncle Frank Earley's best friend. He was so good to check on Uncle Frank and drive him places and he will be missed. He was like family to all of us. My sympathies to all of the family.
