Christine Hunt
WINSTON-SALEM -- Mrs. Hunt, 83, went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2005. She was born in York County, SC on December 25, 1921 to the late William C. and Jane Lipford Lathan. Christine, or 'Aunt Cissy' as she was called, loved to sing and loved people. She brought sunshine into our lives. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas E. Hunt.
Surviving are her niece and husband, Judy and Mike Self; grand nieces, Teresa Johnson and husband, Dennis and their three children, Christy Hall and husband Jon and their three children; grand nephews, Michael Self II and wife Stacy and their daughter, Josh Self and wife Christina and their daughter; brother-in-law, T.D. Hunt and wife Mabel, and sisters-in-law and their children.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 PM Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A graveside service will be 10 AM Saturday, July 9th, at Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Holly, NC with Dr. Tim Brogan officiating.
The family requests no flowers, please. Donations may be made to R.B. Thieme Jr. Bible Ministries, Houston, Texas (where Mrs. Hunt was a member for many years).
