Christopher Clarkson Nance
'Chris'
Mr. Nance, 47, of Charlotte, died Monday, September 13, 2004. He was born on October 13, 1956 in Mecklenburg County, the son of Elsie Nance of Charlotte and the late Allen Clarkson Nance. Chris was the co-owner of Nance Brothers Construction Company.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, are his son, Blake of Memphis, TN; his former wife, Tammy and her daughter, Ginger, both of Monroe; brother, Jim Nance and his wife, Alice of Charlotte; twin sister, Tina Holt and her husband, Wes of Charlotte; nieces and nephews, Ashton Nance, Nicholas Nance and his wife Liz, and their son, Caleb, Liza Holt, and Cassie Holt.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2004 from the Pineville Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service. Rev. Lionel Morgan will officiate. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn West Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Chris's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the Doctors, Nurses and Support Staff at Presbyterian Hospital and Carolinas Medical Center, Pineville, who cared for Chris during his illness, especially, Victoria Morimoto.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Hospital, 200 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC 28204, or Carolinas Medical Center, Pineville, 10628 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210.
The Nance Family is in the care of McEwen Funeral Service, Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 704-544-1412.

I am so sorry to learn of the death of Chris. I have so many wonderful memories of all of us at the community center in your old neighborhood.
