Crossing the Bar

Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.

Cody..... You know I love you and miss you. I know to my heart you are an Angle in Heaven watching out over us all. You're finally home with your dad. No more Earthly suffering. Thank you for your love, friendship, smile and laughter. Through good times and bad you could always bring a smile to my face. Grace misses you dearly and sent her love to Heaven with the release of a balloon. We shall all meet again someday.

With love always,

I am home in Heaven, dear ones
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and suffering is over
Every restless tossing passed
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.

And he came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread
And with Jesus' arm to lean on
Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's will.

There is still work waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand
Do it now, while life remaineth-
You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is completed,
He will gently call you home
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!

RIP Cody
We truly loved you as a father and you will be greatly missed.

Dear Jeffries family,

I know the grief that you're feeling right now and I'm sorry for your loss. Not only was Cody a great friend, he was a great man. I love him so much. He helped me get through so many things, but because he was taken from us so early, I will never be able to repay him. Thank you Ms. Mildred Jeffries for bringing such a beautiful life into this world. He will truly be missed, but he'll always be alive in my heart. I will never let his spirit die.

Dear Jeffries Family

I wanted to write and tell you again how sorry I am for your loss. There are never the right words to express how deeply sad I am that you have to endure your loss. Cody will be truly missed by everyone who knew him no matter where they crossed his path in life.

Cody was a giver, never a taker. He was always there to help no matter how busy he was; no matter the time of day; and, never asking or needing anything in return.

Friends like Cody are few in life and it is with a heavy heart that I also grieve with your loss.

His friendship meant the world to me, and I couldn't have asked for a more genuine friend than Cody. Memories of our times together regardless of where we where or what we were doing will be forever held dear to me. May your memories bring you comfort in the days ahead.

Your loss is also my loss, and I am here, at any time, to help you in any way I can.

With my deepest sympathy, your friend,
Tonya

I Did Not Die
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn's rain,
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

I don't know how it feels to lose a child or a sibling, but I do know how it is to lose a loved one. My heart goes out to you in your time of sorrow. Cody is truly going to be missed. Just know that he is no longer suffering here on earth. He's in a better place now. This is just a temporary separation, he will be in your lives again someday. Keep your heads held high, this is what he would want you to do. No more worries, God will see you through. My prayers are with you.
