Cynthia Baer Obituary

Cynthia Baer
September 25, 1948 - October 26, 2021
Charlotte, North Carolina - Cynthia Eileen (Hess) Baer passed away on the morning of October 26, 2021 at her home in Charlotte, NC where she had resided for twenty-one plus years. Her passing came after a long and courageous ten year battle with multiple illnesses.
Cindy was the loving wife of James E. Baer for fifty-three years and a caring and nurturing mother and grandmother.
Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of John J, Hess and Fern A. (Bair) Hess both of whom are deceased.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters. They are Nicole Baer Stampley wife of Andrew O. Stampley III, Mechanicsville, VA and Jennifer Lee Baer, Lifespan, Charlotte, NC. She is survived by two grandchildren Andrew O. Stampley IV and Alexandra E. Stampley both of Mechanicsville. Andrew is a recent graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. Alexandra obtained her CNA in high school and is currently pursuing an RN.
She is survived by a sister Robin Levan wife of Michael Levan, Wernersville PA, two aunts Barbara Braucher wife of David Braucher (deceased), and Joan Carpenter wife of William Carpenter and an uncle Ronald Baer. She is also survived by a niece, a nephew, and two cousins.
Cindy was a graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School, Leesport, PA. where she served as Administrative Assistant to the Supervising Principle of the District, She also worked as a Real Estate Agent. She dedicated her life to the care of her special needs daughter Jennifer and the raising of her husband, a job she said she would never complete.
Cindy was a member of Mathews United Methodist Church,
Cindy never met a stranger and always put everyone and their needs before her own. She was a strong-willed, vivacious, smart, caring, and fun loving person who will be missed by all who knew her. She brought joy and laughter to all whom she met especially those who she played golf and bridge with. She was a prankster who regularly played tricks on her friends.
There will be no funeral. Instead, we will celebrate her life with a memorial service at Mathews United Methodist Church on or about November 13.
Donations may be made in Cindy's memory on behalf of her special needs daughter Jennifer Lee Baer to Lifespan of Charlotte,, 1511 Shopton Road A, Charlotte, NC 28217
