Dan Alion Obituary
The funeral service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd with Rev. J. Wayne Smith, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
Born in Columbus, GA, Mr. Alion was a son of the late Daniel Jamison Alion, Sr. and the late Minnie Mae Monte Alion. He was also preceded in death by his grandson; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; and his sister.
Mr. Alion lived in Charlotte with his family most of his life and then retired in Rock Hill. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII serving as a radio operator/morse code "speed key" operator; he later served in the US Air Force Reserves. He was a loving husband and father to a large and joyful family.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Peggy Joanne Polk Alion; six children and their spouses; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers; and his sister.
Memorials may be made in Mr. Alion's name to the Alzheimer's Association of SC 4124 Clemson Blvd, #L, Anderson, SC, 29621.

My memory of Dan goes back many years when we worked together in real estate. He was a charming, lovable person whom we all loved. May I offer my deep sympathy to his family. Although his body is not with us, his spirit will always remain attached to all of us who crossed his path.
