Mr. Bolick, age 21, died unexpectedly June 20, 2004. A service to celebrate his life will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at McEwen Charlotte Chapel with Rev. Leland K. Stephens officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn West Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
Daniel was born in Charlotte, May 26, 1983, was a graduate of Harding High School, was formerly employed by Winn Dixie, and was presently assistant manager for Auto Bell on South Boulevard. He loved baseball and played at West Mecklenburg Optimist Club field and loved anything recreational. He was very loving to his Mama and Daddy 'Wayne' and was very close to his sister, Nicole. He dearly loved Sara McCorkle, his fiance. His best friend, Junior Draughn was always there for him.
Survivors are his parents, John and Karen Bolick and sister, Nicole Bolick, all of Charlotte; grandparents, Aron 'Red' and Barbara Huntley of Charlotte; favorite aunt, Catherine and uncle, Chuck Huntley of Charlotte; and another aunt, Deborah James of Charlotte; and five cousins.
His pallbearers will be Carl Huntley, Jamey Gillenwater, Michael Husband, Junior Draughn, John Fay and T.J. Strahorn. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Rhea and Taylor Rhea.
