He leaves behind his loving parents, father Claude Hampton Lindsay and mother Esperance Wazala Lindsay; sister Rebecca S. Lindsay, Claudette Lindsay-Kalu (Udonsi), Nathalie Linda Dillahunt (Brian Sr.) and younger brother Kevin Jason Lindsay (Katrice).
Public viewing will be held Thursday from 2 to 8pm at A.E. Grier & Sons, 2310 Statesville Avenue and also on Friday from 9am to 3pm.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11 am at Sarah Gambrell Auditorium on Johnson C. Smith University Campus.

Dave you were one of the best guys I've known. I'm sad we didn't get a chance to spend more time together the last time I was home and you cut my hair, but as always we had fun and smiled and laughed. That last haircut will forever be immortalized in my memory and heart as you will be. And that smile, it needed no work whatsoever!! ;-) Rest easy bro!!

I chose this young man about 2 months ago from a picture on No Grease website for my son who needed a good barber and too lazy to find one. Davids face captured my attention. Little did I know the history behind this young man until this tragedy.....I knew there was something I discerned about him. My son, who is 20, would come home after his cuts and say, "Ma, I really like my barber, he loves nature and animals like I do....... he is so cool Ma !" He had left his mark on my son and made a profound impact on his life in a short period of time..... he would have been a great mentor for my son....my heart is broken along with everyone else....I feel like I knew him.....my prayers are for the family and friends! I celebrate this fine young mine....he had a purpose and it was pure and complete! Blessings and Much Love!

I am saddened by such a premature passing of a young man that had so much ambition. Every time I saw Dave he had a smile on his face and nothing but kind words. I am honored to have sat in his chair and pray that his family will find peace during this difficult time. Rest easy Young Dave, you will be missed.

Rien ne pourra jamais combler le vide dans lequel tu nous laisse aujourdhui David. Tu etais original, special,motivé ; brillant mais surtout tres bon! Nous ne pouvons qu'accepter la volonté de Dieu car lui seul a le pouvoir de donner et de reprendre. David you were a true friend me and my siblings grew up with you and your siblings we went to carver high school together our moms were like best friends its hard to think that you are gone but you made a impact on alot of lives you were one of my idols as i got older you became a barber and mastered it i went off to the military and made a great career out of it so you will be missed and i will see you one day david.

This saddens me terribly! I have known Dave for 9/10 years and watched him grow into an amazing man right before my eyes. Dave will be missed! He is a legend in my eyes and I am so proud to have worked with him & more importantly to simply have known him as a person!
