David Morris Obituary
October 11, 1948 - January 29, 2024
Charlotte, North Carolina - David Cameron Morris, 75 years old, of Mint Hill, passed away on January 29, 2024, at Carolinas Medical Center of a Pulmonary Embolism.
Dave was born October 11, 1948 in Sandston, VA, to the late Howard Cameron Morris and the late Mildred Barnett Morris.
Dave is survived by his wife of 53 years, Susan Kay Cammer Morris.
Dave was a graduate of UNC-Charlotte with majors in English and History, and a minor in Psychology. He had a successful career in educational publishing sales for Prentice-Hall, which became Pearson Education where he received the coveted Haltiwaner Award for Lifetime Achievement, for a career spanning more than 35 years.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 9, at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, with reception following.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.

Dave was one of my favorite booksellers and friends when I managed the bookstore at Queens College. I was happy we could reconnect via Facebook and I will sincerely miss his presence in my online life. Rest well.
