Don Cuthbertson

Don Lewis Cuthbertson CHARLOTTE - Don Lewis Cuthbertson passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Atrium Health in Charlotte. Don was born in Charlotte on July 11, 1939, to the late Morris and Elma Baker Cuthberston. Don is survived by his wife of 30 years, Laura Grady Cuthbertson, and sons Marc Cuthbertson (Tara) of Wilmington, North Carolina and Lee Percise (Megan) of Greenville, North Carolina. He is also survived by one grandson Sully Cuthbertson, his sisters Rita Jordan, Jackie Hornback (Bobby) and Carol Puckett (Henry), and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Gerald Cuthbertson, and sisters Joyce, Joan and Mickey. A proud lifelong resident of Charlotte, Don was raised in the North Charlotte neighborhood on 35th Street. He attended Central High School and graduated in 1959. Don retired from Metrolina Sprinkler Company in 2010. On Saturdays, Don could often be found at Eastwood Gold Club, and later Larkhaven Golf Club, enjoying the company of his many lifelong friends. Don was also a frequent volunteer with the North Carolina Dental Society's Missions of Mercy. Don's good humor, natural charm, loyalty and genuine kindness will be missed by his family and friends alike. A celebration of Don's life will be held on April 4th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at University City United Methodist Church, located at 3835 West W.T. Harris Blvd., Charlotte, North Carolina 28269. A visitation with the family will immediately follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Don's memory be made to University City United Methodist Church or to the Agape Dental Ministry, 7839 Idlewild Rd., Charlotte, North Carolina 28212.
