Hilton Head Island, South Carolina - Donald Allyn Points, Sr., 81, died Saturday, December 5th, 2020 at his home in Hilton Head Island, SC. Don is survived by his wife, Patterson Cadle Points and his three children, Don Allyn Points, Jr. of Sartell, MN, Susan Palmer Cox (Robert A. Cox, Jr.) of Charlotte, NC and James Matthew Points of Indio, CA, and three grandchildren, Robert Aubrey Cox III, Jackson Palmer Cox and Lily Patterson Cox of Charlotte, NC. He has two brothers, James F. Points (Patricia R. Points) of Huntsville, AL, Dale M. Points (AL Points) of Olathe, KS and one sister, Jennifer P. Higgins (Tom Higgins) of Berthoud, CO, and many nieces and nephews.
Don began his career as a CPA, but quickly moved into commercial building and development. After retiring to Hilton Head Island, he came out of retirement and managed the building of a large solar energy plant in Boulder City, NV.
Don loved technology, politics, cooking, bird watching and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed by his large and loving family.
Due to the Pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
