Donna Jones Hammond

Donna Hammond TRINITY - Donna Michelle Jones Hammond, 46, of Trinity, died Friday at the Hospice Home at High Point. A resident of the High Point, Archdale/Trinity area all of her life, she was born January 21, 1967, in High Point, a daughter of Kenneth Ray Jones and the late Nancy Ellen Smith Jones. Mrs. Hammond was a coach and board member of the Guil-Rand Youth Soccer League. She was the office manager for Cornerstone Family Practice in Archdale and enjoyed going to the beach. She attended Crossover Community Church. In addition to her mother she was also preceded in death by her stepmother Norma Baird Jones. Mrs. Hammond is survived by her husband Anthony J. Hammond of the home and three children, Anthony Jewel "A.J." Hammond, II of Thomasville, Brittani Michelle Hammond and Cayla Rae Hammond both of Trinity. She is also survived by her father Kenneth Ray Jones and wife Frankie of New London, two sisters Cassandra "Sandy" Brown and husband David of Oak Ridge and Lisa Reedy of Denton and special friends Christy Welch, Debra Nicholson, Christy Renn, Deanna Hoffman, Ginger Cromer and Renee Gray. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Donna Michelle Jones Hammond will be held 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale with the Reverend Darryl Love officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262 or Lovelines c/o High Point Regional Hospital, 601 North Elm Street, High Point, NC 27262.
