Charlotte, North Carolina - Estelle Lane Marshall, 101, of Charlotte passed away Sunday, October 3rd, 2021. She was born December 7th, 1919 in Surry County to the late John Wesley Lane and Sally Ann Barrow Lane. She lived in Winston-Salem for many years and worked at Armour Meat Packing Co. where she met her husband Ernest Wilson Marshall. They moved to Charlotte in 1960.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Wilson "Dan" Marshall and her daughters, Linda Barringer and Ann Harris that both passed unexpectedly in 2014. She is also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jeffrey Tise and Jennifer Tise. She is survived by her grandsons, Victor Alexander and Jimmy Alexander, great-grandson Drew Alexander and great-granddaughter Ashley Alexander.
Estelle loved the Lord and lived a Godly life as a member of Grace Baptist Church and Midwood Baptist Church. She always treated everyone with kindness and respect. The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the nurses, CNA's and staff of the Pavilion Healthcare Center at Brightmore, where she lived the last 5 years in their loving care. Also, to all of Estelle's special friends, church members, and neighbors that always visited and called to check on her. Their kindness, support and friendship meant the world to her.
Estelle was an amazing person that was loved by all and will be missed dearly. The family is comforted in knowing that she is reunited in heaven with her 9 siblings, husband of 50 years and children and grandchildren that have passed before her.
A memorial service to celebrate Estelle's life will be held at 1pm Saturday October 9th, 2021 in the chapel of Tribute & Tallent Funerals & Cremations, 1937 N. Sharon Amity Rd. Charlotte, NC with Dr. Garry Baldwin of Midwood Baptist Church officiating. The family will greet friends from 12-1 prior to the service.
