I was saddened to hear of Gene's passing, but also so glad that he is homefree...the ultimate healing! Both Lou and Gene have been so special to me, so encouraging and supportive. They were the first to reach out to me when I shared that God was leading me to full-time ministry. They both came to my senior recital at Lenoir Rhyne. Gene's favorite piece was Handel's "Ombra Mai Fu". When he gave a compliment, you know he thoughtfully meant it. Lou, I am so sorry for your loss, girl. Please know that I will be thinking of and praying for you in the coming days and weeks. Please accept my sincere condolences for you and your family. I pray you are comforted by the lasting legacy Gene has given all who knew him...he truly made a difference for eternity. Much love!
