Eunice Mason

1931 - 2016

Eunice Baker Mason, age 85, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016 at her home. She was a daughter of the late Howell and Viola Holloman Baker. Eunice enjoyed camping at the beach and in the mountains and was an avid reader. She enjoyed meeting new people through her passion to sell and retired from Southeast Air Control.

Survivors include her daughters, Helen Padgett and husband, John of Mt. Holly, Debbie Goodman and husband, Wayne of Harrisburg, Karen Hall and husband, Tim of Rock Hill; sister, Vivian Rodden of Gastonia; brother, Ray Baker of Belmont; grandchildren, Shaun Phurrough, Michele Bond, Paul Crotts, Tonya Cline, Ian Hall and Jimmy Goodman; and fifteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Mason; a sister, Ordell Baker; brothers, Bethea and Gordon Baker; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Bond and Cody Cline.

The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 pm, Sunday, October 16 at McLean Funeral Directors, Belmont. A service celebrating Eunices's life will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday at East Belmont Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Evergreen -"A Quiet Place".
