February 17, 1934 - April 8, 2021
Charlotte, North Carolina - Fay Marie Mullins Barnette, 87 of Charlotte, went home to be with her Savior Jesus, April 8, 2021. Fay loved and faithfully served Him as a charter member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Her favorite Bible verse was Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."
Fay is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Bob Barnette; her son Wes Barnette (Karen), granddaughter Michaela, daughter Wendy Pope (Scott), granddaughter Blaire, and grandson Griffin.
A memorial service celebrating Fay's life will be Friday, April 16, 2021 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and the service will be at 11:00 am. For more information call Hickory Grove at 704-531-4000.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hearts and Hammers Ministry of Hickory Grove Baptist Church or directed to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Ministry of Word Up Ministries at wordupministries.org.

Very sorry for all you guy's loss, I am sure that's a space that can't be filled. I think it is so awesome though, that you all had her for all those years! So many memories! So many smiles and hugs! And your Dad(!) 67 years!! That is so awesome!! I hope the happiness of memories will outweigh the sadness!❤❤ Thinking of you all!
