Faye Stikeleather Obituary

Faye Dean Hill Stikeleather

Mint Hill, North Carolina - Faye Dean Hill Stikeleather, age ninety, and a resident/native of Mint Hill, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Atrium Hospital in Monroe, North Carolina due to complications from bacterial pneumonia.
She was a 1949 graduate of Bain High School. While at Bain she was an excellent student, an active member of the National Beta Club, and won awards for her beautiful handwriting.
She was a valued employee earning a five year service pin from Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Company and working over twenty-five years as an appointment clerk for Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat Associates, P.A.
She was married to Newton H. Stikeleather (1928-1994) and had two children: Gregory Scott (1960-2012) and Michael Howard (1954-).
A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her son Michael (Pamela) of Carmel, Indiana; three grandchildren, Ian Michael (Los Angeles, California), Erica Layne (Mathew) Honkus (Cedar Crest/Albuquerque, New Mexico), Sacha Elaine (Carmel, Indiana); and one brother, Eugene Hill (Clear Creek/Mint Hill, North Carolina). In addition, she is survived by many loving nephews, nieces, friends, relatives, and church members.
Of particular note, she is also survived by Jackie (Hill) Motley, a niece who was like a loving daughter to Aunt Faye over at least the last four decades of Aunt Faye's life. Thank you Jackie for all you did for your Aunt Faye! You are the best!!
Miss Faye, as she was often affectionately called, was a believer in Jesus Christ, and requested that "Do you Know my Jesus" be sung at her memorial service. She was a lifelong member of the Shiloh Truelight Church of Christ on Truelight Church Road in Mint Hill, North Carolina. Therefore, it is fitting that her graveside memorial service will be held at 3:30 P.M., Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Shiloh Truelight Church of Christ. Viewing and greeting the family will commence in the church building at 2:30 P.M. Since it is a graveside service, flowers should be sent to 6416 Wilson Grove Road, Mint Hill, North Carolina 28227.
Holland Funeral Home of Monroe, North Carolina and Shiloh Truelight Church are jointly handling the funeral arrangements.
This obituary is lovingly submitted by her son, Michael Stikeleather, on November 15, 2021.

I worked with Miss Faye at CEENTA and think about her often. She was always a ray of light. She once asked me to paint a cardinal on her mailbox and it is still one of my fondest memories. Miss you Miss Faye
