CLINTON -- Mrs. Strickland, age 83, of 3616 The Avenue, died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at the Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zoar Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church in Salemburg, NC with the Rev. Randy Barker and Rev. Clyde Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Strickland was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of the late Alger Rose and Tomzil Clyde Holland. She was the widow of the late John Thomas Strickland.
She is survived by three daughters, Jeannette Holland and husband, Preston of Salemburg, NC, Barbara Waeldin and husband, Gary of Ridgecrest, CA, and Audrey Franklin and husband, George of Pell City, AL; two sons, Anthony Strickland and wife, Susan of Concord, NC and Rodney Strickland and wife, Gail of Clinton, NC; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, NC.
