Fulvio Ferraro Obituary

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH -- Fulvio Ferraro, 84, of North Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Worcester, MA, died Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at the home of his daughter, in Worcester, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 55 1/2 years, Donata (Logoluso) Ferraro; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Roberto F. and Gail M. (Hellingoetter) Ferraro of Charlotte, NC; a daughter, Liliana C. Ferraro-Silkman of Worcester; a brother, Amato Ferraro of Verona, Italy; eight grandchildren, Angelo Scela, Alex and Jared Silkman, all of Worcester, and Briana Ferraro, Nicholas Ferraro, Dominic Ferraro, Stephanie Ferraro and Max Ferraro, all of Charlotte.
Mr. Ferraro was born in Prum Di Negra, Verona, Italy, the son of Adolfo and Clorinda (Fantin) Ferraro, and served in the Italian Army during World War II. He emigrated to the United States in 1958, via Argentina, and settled in Worcester. He owned and operated Fulvio's Barber Shop in Worcester for many years, before retiring and moving to South Carolina in 1997. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Saint Ann Church.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 7, at 11 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Saint Ann Church, 24 Mulberry Street. Burial will be in Prum Di Negrar, Italy. Calling hours will be held Sunday, April 6, in Mercadente Funeral Home and Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.
Flowers may be sent or donations may be made to Jeremiah's inn, 1059 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603.
