G. Morris Obituary

G. Keith Morris CHARLOTTE - G. Keith Morris, AIA, of Charlotte passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, after a short illness. He was born in Matthews, NC, on May 14, 1940 to the late Clarence Oscar "Dagie" and Loma Morris. Keith received his Bachelor of Architecture from NC State in 1970. With over 42 years of professional experience he worked with a variety of public, corporate, and private clients in government, industrial, and other project types. He won numerous awards for his architectural designs. Keith's publication of the Capital Project Procedures Manual helped many state agencies grow and operate efficiently. He was president of Morris-Berg Architects, Inc., and registered in several states. Keith is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Peggy Morris; his daughter, Ter‚sa Wingate; his son, Mark Glover and his wife Dana and granddaughter Ashlyn Glover; siblings Jerry Morris and wife Kay, James Morris and wife Becky, and sister Lillian Lucas. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, April 12, 2013, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3115 Providence Road, Charlotte. The family will receive friends following the service in the church parlor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Unit at Aldersgate, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215, or The Alzheimer's Association. Peggy, I am so sorry to just be finding out about Keith's death. May God bless you. I found last night that Anne died last friday (10-4-13)through 1/2 brother in Va. I always liked Keith and mom certainly thought a lot of him. I know you miss him.
