George Arzberger Obituary

George Arzberger, III
September 6, 2023
Charlotte, North Carolina - George "Butch" Albert Arzberger III, age 74, died on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. He was born on January 19, 1949 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late George Albert Arzberger Jr. and Lorene (Mitchell) Arzberger. Although he battled Parkinson's disease for years, he lived life to the fullest. He will be missed dearly.
George grew up a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, where his parents were devoted Charter Members. He attended Myers Park High School, then graduated from Patterson School for Boys in 1967, afterward serving in the United States Marine Corps as a Rifle Marksman. Upon honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, George attended Belmont Abbey College and graduated in 1973 with a degree in Economics and Business.
George started his business career as a regional sales manager for Commercial Credit and then later co-founded American Environmental Recovery Systems, Inc. prior to his retirement. During his later years, he found success and adventure in buying, renovating, and selling real estate properties.
George resided on Lake Wylie for most of his life with his beloved German Shepherd. He enjoyed boating, waterskiing, and spending time with friends. He cherished moments with his daughters, especially those spent indulging in his passion for sports, particularly tennis.
George is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Mark) Miralia and Megan Arzberger, both of Charlotte, NC; his sister Susan Arzberger of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren William and Anna Mauzé; and nieces Kelley Mullin and Shana Christy.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 19 at 1:00 p.m. in the Morrison Chapel at Covenant Presbyterian Church, Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends following the service in the Welcome Center. The service will be live-streamed at www.covenantpresby.org/live. Arrangements are in the care of Tribute & Tallent Funerals & Cremations, Charlotte, NC. Online condolences can be shared at www.tallentfuneralservice.com.

I did not know George, but I am a graduate of Patterson School for Boys in '65. He and I were at the School, when it was at its best. I salute you, George, and I know you are in the hands of God.
