George lived across the Street from me in Oshkosh, Wis. When he moved to
North Carolina and my work ran low, I moved with my family to Charlotte NC.
He was a Good Friend and helped me get thru a major crisis in my Life.
In 69' I moved to Houston Texas with my children. I visited George one time
when I went back on Vacation.

We were honored to have served George & Mary many times during the past several years. Will truly miss the no-nonsense, direct manner that George would deal with our business dealings. That is just one of the things that made George special to us. His view on the state of our Nation was perfect & so correct. I'll miss those conversations. Mary & family, we grive with you but what wonderful memories are locked away!

I will truly miss grandpa and would like to send my condolences to the rest of the family. He was always there when I needed him and I will never forget the times spent with him (and Mary) over the years. His contributions to the world, whether through business or his teachings, will continue long after this day. Although his wisdom was extraordinary, it was the time spent listening and learning that wisdom with him that I will miss the most. Although the sadness will abate over time, the memories will never fade, and I thank God for allowing him to be in my life. Grandpa, I love you and miss you dearly.

Dear Mrs. Duckett and family,

Mr. Duckett was a major influence in my life. He was my Sunday School teacher at Providence United Methodist Church when I was in middle school. Mr. Duckett understood us. He spoke to us like and he LISTENED to us like our opinions mattered. He challenged us to THINK. He (and Mrs. Duckett) set in motion a lot of "little ripples." It is because of them that I give back and volunteer at my church. I will miss Mr. Duckett so much. Please know that his example of teaching will be remembered for many years and hopefully, keep rippling out to young people. Sincerely, Dottie Sue Ballard Fowler
