Gerturde Johnson Obituary
The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. January 28, 2002 at Second Calvary Baptist Church in Charlotte. Burial will be in York Memorial Park, Charlotte. Visitation will begin 1:00 p.m. January 28, 2002 at Second Calvary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Gerturde (Gert) Vance Johnson, loving wife of Jack Henry Johnson, the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Godbolt (Gertrude) Vance, was born February 28, 1918 in Clinton, South Carolina.
Survivors are husband, John H. Johnson; daughters, Lillie (Charles) Alexander, Betty (Thomas) McQueen, Pansey (James) Borden, sons, Leon (Denise) Johnson, William (Delois) Johnson all Charlotte, NC, Howard (Priscilla) Johnson, Ronald (Jean) Johnson and Keith Johnson all of Queens Village, NY and sister, Mrs. Thessalonia Crosslin of Detroit, MI.
Grier Funeral Service is in charge.

i loved mrs. gert, she was very dear to my heart i moved away but kept in contact ocasionally but she knew i loved her and mr. johnson. god really loved her best.old second calvary choir member. may god forever continue to bless the family
