My deepest sympathies to Grants Mom, Brother, Carla and the boys. I knew Grant for many years while we both worked for Langer & Associates. He was always such a pleasure to work with. Very kind and very soft spoken. He will be missed. This is a terrible tragedy and my thoughts & prayers are with you all.

I go all the way back to Montford Academy, where in 6th grade as well as through later years in life, Grant and I were such good friends. I didn't have the opportunity to keep up with Grant much through college days, but I certainly remember him to be a great person and I ache for his loved ones at his early passing.

Dear Sifford Family,
I am deeply saddened to learn of
Grant's passing. He and I were great friends at UNC Charlotte during our years there, and we both shared a love of music. I rediscovered a cd of his music just the other day, one he had given me long ago. In the years since university, we had kept up with one another, mostly through the annual Christmas card correspondence. Having lost my Father late last year, I know the deep hurt that the passing of a loved one brings. Lean on your faith, take one step at a time, and treasure the memories of your time with Grant. I know I will treasure my memories of him, and smile thinking about them. You have my deepest sympathies.

As a lifelong friend of Grant's father Darrell, the sadness of Darrell's early passing years ago is increased by the tragic death of Grant. I can only hope Verna and Jay's faith, which I know to be strong, will get them through this. Marcia Burwell

In loving memory to a great friend, husband and daddy. I admired Grant's will to extend a helping hand to those in need. Always a lover of music, animals, and the Andy Griffith show. Thanks for being there for and loving Patrick and Dalton. You will always hold that special place in my heart.
Forever,
Carla

Mrs. Sifford, Jay, and all of Grant's extended family: my deepest condolences to you upon the passing of Grant. He was a very good friend to me; the time that I and all of his friends spent with him, especially playing and listening to music, are a great gift he gave to us all that will stay with us all of our lives.
