Harold Efird Obituary

Harold Ray Efird
Mr. Efird, 88, of Charlotte, passed away May 18, 2007 at Bel Aire Nursing Center. Born February 1, 1919 in Rowan County, NC, he was the son of the late David Efird and Alma Gertrude Liverette Efird.
Graveside service is 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 22, at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Charlotte, NC, with Pastor Steve Pipho and Pastor Tim Smith officiating.
Mr. Efird was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Boone, NC. He was a US Army veteran serving duty in England, Luxembourg, France and Germany with the 372nd Engineers. Mr. Efird was the owner and founder of Mecklenburg Plumbing Company until his retirement at age 65.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Evelyn G. Efird of the home; sons and spouses, Larry and Martha Efird of Huntersville, Tim and Phyllis Efird of Gastonia; grandchildren and spouses, Brent and Tiffany Efird of Charlotte, Charles and Lorie Hamrick of Mt. Holly, and Kimberly and Ronnie Wells of Clover, SC; and great grandchildren, Jared and Mason Hamrick and Anna Wells.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity or church of the donor's choice.
