My deepest condolences to Harvey's family and friends. My first recollection of Harvey was at Wadesboro Middle School. Harvey was in the 8th grade, and I was in the 6th. At school assemblies, Harvey, who was tall and strikingly handsome, always wore a suit and tie as he gave the best presentations. His father was always in attendance, obviously proud of his son. Rest well, Harvey. Job well done.

Harvey´s kind, caring, supportive manner has always given our family much comfort when we´ve lost loved ones in recent years, just as his parents, Harvey and Nancy did in the past. Wadesboro has been blessed by the Leavitt Family, and Harvey will be missed greatly!

I met Harvey in our 9th grade home room class. He sat in the seat behind me. He was a kind and thoughtful person even back then. His kindness continued over the years to me and my family. He made sure Dan and my sons, Coby and Brice, always had what they needed as his employees. They respected him highly. Additionally, when we had death in our family, he never failed to let me know that his facilities or whatever we needed were at our disposal. We will miss you greatly Harvey, and thank you for your generosity and genuine kindness over the years.

Harvey was always our rock at Bowman. He never missed a day, was a great drum major for the band, and always a gracious and inclusive leader. He will be sorely missed.
