Helen Jones Hampton
PAWLEYS ISLAND -- Mrs. Hampton, 85, died Monday, October 10, 2005 at Prince George Nursing Center, Georgetown, SC.
Born May 6, 1920 in Davie County, NC, she was the daughter of Richard and Pearl Jones. Mrs. Hampton lived in Kannapolis, NC most of her life. She served as a nurse in Kannapolis and Chapel Hill, NC for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hampton.
Surviving are her sons, Ronald W. Hampton (Shelia) of Pawleys Island, SC and A. Keith Hampton (Elizabeth) of Washington, NC; a sister, Peggy Troutman of New Smyrna, FL; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, October 13, 2005 at Carolina Memorial Park in Concord, NC. Rev. Otis Snow, pastor of Memorial United Methodist Church in Kannapolis, NC will officiate. The family will receive friends after the service at the gravesite.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Memorial United Methodist Church, 1100 West 'C' Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
