Jack Zeigler Obituary

Jack Zeigler, age 93, passed away peacefully in the Lord on Saturday, May 28 surrounded by love.

He was born in Thomasville, Georgia May 19, 1923. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Sarah Grier Zeigler; his parents, George Edward Zeigler and Christine Hjort Zeigler; and a sister, Christine Daniel. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Zeigler; his brother, George Zeigler; his sister, Sarah Martha Edwards; his sister-in-law, Anne Isley; several nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his dear friend, Blanche Sherrill. 

Zeigler entered Georgia Tech in 1941, but left college to enlist in the US Army to serve his country in WW2. After the war, Jack returned to Georgia Tech and completed his degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1970, Jack founded Fabrication Engineering Service Company (FESCO) which enjoyed success until he retired in 1989.  

Jack was blessed to be a member of the Cypress of Charlotte community for over 17 years. He was truly thankful for his many blessings.

A Graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:00 at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Cypress of Charlotte clubhouse on Saturday from 3:00 - 4:30. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The Employee Appreciation Fund at The Cypress of Charlotte, 3442 Cypress Club Drive, Charlotte, 28210.
