Jacqueline A. Awad

1941 - 2018

Jacqueline A. Awad, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2018 in Stuart, Florida.
She born in Manila, Philippines on December 2, 1941, and graduated from Packer High School in Brooklyn, NY and then moved to Bay Ridge, NY.
Mrs. Awad graduated from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY in 1963 and attended the Juilliard School of Music in NYC for music and theater workshops. She was an actor and assistant to the Director of many Broadway and off Broadway shows. Mrs. Awad was involved with the shows, Luv, Odd Couple, Sweet Charity, The Drunkard, and Pocono Playhouse in addition to The Boston Opera Company, American Shakespeare Festival and The Nation Theatre of the Death.
She was married I 1994 to Michael S. Yocom in Stuart, Florida. Mrs. Awad has lived in Stuart, Florida since 1993 and did philanthropy work for the Hibiscus House and the Martin Memorial Foundation.
Mrs. Awad is a daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt, godmother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Michael S. Yocom; sister, Linda Cullere; brother, Theodore Awad Sr.; four grandchildren, one niece, three nephews, and many grandnieces and nephews.
She will be remembered as a generous shining light to many people and for many generations to come.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 4:00PM-7:00PM at Becker Funeral Home in Westwood, NJ with graveside services to be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York.
