When the Lord calls our loved ones home, he leaves a gift of memories in exchange. We here at Paw Creek American Legion Post #353 will remember him always..We will alway remember working with him at Bingo, the Veterans Dinner's and Chicken fry's. We will keep the family in our prayers.

The Kindest Man
When the world is served with injustice
Somehow every day things just seem so wrong
But to be around you made things seem alright
Cause we all knew never a Kinder,
Kindle spirit in a man was in sight
In all the years I knew you
A harsh word I never heard
If all men stood as steady and tall
As a man with a peaceful heart
Then there’d never be a fight
No wars would ever start
So now I’m just remembering
The way you said my name
Helps me to embrace
That there are days and times when things
Aren’t the same
Cause just thinking of you makes
Things seem kind, warm, and bright
Like a fire on a cold winters night

Joh,
You know I love you so much, and here for you, even though we've both been busy with our lives for awhile. I remember the days when we were together a lot and did a lot of fun things, AND, when you and Nelson first met. He was such a great person, whom I always admired, and he will be sorely missed.
I will see you soon.
Love, Ruth Kee Wherry

Jo and Family,
my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow. I will be unable to see you tomorrow, but I am praying for you and your family. Take care of yourself, also, my friend.

Please know that our prayers and sympathy are with the family during this difficult time. We are so saddened by the passing of "Uncle" Nelson. That is what I heard everyone call him so I did as well. He was such a wonderful intelligent man. I only knew him for a few years but he always had welcome arms when we visited. The past several July 4th picnics are memories not to be forgotten.
