James Bradford Gaddy
ANSONVILLE -- Mr. Gaddy, 76, died Thursday, January 29, 2004 in Rockingham Manor Nursing Home in Rockingham.
He was born in Anson County, NC April 21, 1927, a son of the late Jesse David and Bessie Mae Meeks Gaddy.
Mr. Gaddy was retired from McDonald Douglas-Boeing Aircraft Company as a tester for jet engines in Long Beach, CA for 35 years and was a veteran of the United States Army, having served his country during World War II. He was also a member of the Elks Club BPOE 794 in Santa Ana, CA.
The funeral service will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 31, 2004 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro with Reverend Bill Whitlow officiating. Interment will follow in Lilesville Cemetery. The family will greet friends tonight from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
He is survived by his daughter, Melinda J. Gaddy of Laguna Niguel, CA; his brothers, Furman H. Gaddy and John H. Gaddy, both of Wadesboro, Clyde S. Gaddy of Lilesville and George E. Gaddy of Greensboro; and his sisters, Mrs. Clarice G. Martin of Ansonville, and Mrs. Mary Ruth G. Newton and Mrs. Ila G. Boyd, both of Cheraw, SC.
The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro.
