MOORESVILLE -- Mr. James Thomas Good, 93, of 213 Cedar St., Mooresville, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2007, at Genesis Eldercare, Mooresville.
Born July 15, 1914, in Cherokee Falls, SC, he was the son of the late William James and Sarah Goode Good. He attended Clover Public Schools, Clover SC, and retired from First Union National Bank. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Mooresville, where he served as a deacon and was active in the Men's Bible Class and the Men of the Church. Mr. Good was also active in the community. He served as a MSI Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, was a member and past president of the Kiwanis Club, also a member and past president of the MSI Chapter of the AARP. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, and camping. He and his wife were members of the Airstream Trailer Club for over 30 years.
Mr. Good was preceded in death by a daughter, Caroline Ross Good; son, James Thomas Good; sisters, Mary Good Hood, Sarah Good VanAken; niece, Marian Cunningham; nephew, George Hood.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Eliza Caroline Ross Good; nephews, Steve Turner, Sam Hickman, Andy Walker, John Ross; nieces, Lou Brown, Jeanne Davis, Betsy Ross, Susan Watterworth. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 20, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Fred A. Coates officiating. Burial will be at Glenwood Memorial Park prior to the service at 10:30 AM. The family will receive friends in the church parlor following the service.
