Jimmy Edward Page, Sr. MOORESVILLE - Jimmy Edward Page, Sr., 79, of Mooresville, passed away December 29, 2012, at CMC-Main surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 5, 1933, in Grist, NC, to the late William and Bessie Smith Page. He moved to Charlotte in 1952 and worked for J.N. Pease Associates for 42 and½years. During his retirement, he enjoyed boating and watching his grandchildren play basketball and perform in plays. He always loved when the kids came to visit, and smiled the most with his grandchildren. He was a member of Matthews Lodge #461 as a 32nd degree Mason, the Oasis Shriners and charter member of the Oasis Dune Cats, as well as Williamson Chapel UMC of Mooresville. He spent many hours watching the western channel, was a Matlock addict and an avid Panther and NASCAR fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Ruff Page; sisters, Edith Powers, Rachel Atkins and Christine Soesbee; brothers, Robert and Billy Page. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Brautigam Page of Mooresville; son, Eddie Page and wife Kathy of Matthews; daughter, Susan Page Black of Matthews; and son, Paul Whitley and wife Tosha of Indian Trail. He leaves five beautiful grandchildren who he loved very much, Justin and Jeremy Page and Cristian Black of Matthews and Tyler and Kaitlyn Whitley of Indian Trail; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at McEwen Mint Hill Chapel 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd Charlotte, NC 28227. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Oasis Shriners, 604 Doug Mayes Pl., Charlotte, NC 28262-8420.
