Monroe, North Carolina - Mrs. Janet Isabel Smith Little, 89, of Monroe, NC passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022.
Funeral services will be held 2:30PM on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Gordon Funeral Chapel, burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Methodist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00PM until 2:15PM at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Mrs. Little was my piano teacher for a little over 2 years. I was an adult student, taking lessons while working on my Doctoral degree which I finally completed in January of 2023. I use to love taking lessons with her and playing duets with her. I would call her every now and then to check on her but I have gotten so busy I haven't had the chance.
She was a real sweet person, reminded me of mom. We both had poodles, hers was Louie and mine was Smooches. I am so saddened to hear of her passing. I will keep her family in my thoughts and prayers.
She will missed. Everytime I sit down at my piano I think of her.
