Jason Brinkley Obituary
SHERRILLS FORD -- Mr. Brinkley, 28, of Dog Leg Road, Sherrills Ford, died Friday, February 22, 2008 at his residence.
Born April 26, 1979 in Owensboro, KY, he was the son of David Lee and Connie Mae Waltrip Brinkley. He was employed as an Assistant Manager for Walgreens in Denver.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Leroy Waltrip.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by sister, Dana Brinkley Gillis and husband, Doug of Mooresville; maternal grandmother, Margaret Waltrip of Sherrills Ford; paternal grandparents, Carroll and Lucille Brinkley of Evansville, IN; nephew, Traye Gillis of Mooresville; niece, Carol Mae "Cammie" Gillis of Mooresville and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
All services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jason Brinkley Memorial Fund, c/o Dana Gillis, 149 Seagrove Lane, Mooresville, NC 28117.
The Brinkley family is being assisted by Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

We had the pleasure of working with Jason at the Denver store. He was more than a manager he was our friend. He always treated us how he would want to be treated, which made work very enjoyable. My heart is broken. Jason was my dear friend. I worked with him at Texas Steakhouse and we use to go to Cookout after work and talk till 3AM. Great talks, Great guy. I miss him terribly.
