Jean Graves Obituary

Jean Ogburn Graves, age 89, formerly of Charlotte, passed away Monday, October 16, 2017 at Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living in Boone, NC. She was a native of Pageland, SC, daughter of the late Robert Earl and Odessa Caroline Ogburn.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband Blake S. Graves, a son, Timothy L. Graves, a grandson, Michael W. Graves, her brothers James and Paul Ogburn, and a sister, Opal Ogburn.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her sister, Elaine Davis of Mt. Pleasant, SC, son, Reginald Graves and wife Debra of Tucson, AZ, daughter, Jill Hauser of Fuquay-Varina, NC, and daughter-in-law, Belinda Graves of Monroe, NC. Six beloved grandchildren also survive: Jennifer Graves, Abigail Graves, Katy Graves, Deborah Waechter, Mary Hauser and Clint Graves.

A graveside service will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Medi Home and Health Hospice, 400 Shadowline Drive, Suite 100-B, Boone, NC 28607. Online condolences may be shared with the Graves Family at www.austinandbarnesfuneralhome.com.

Jill, we were so sorry to hear of your Mom's death. She was like a second Mom to me as we were growing up. Even though I know you will miss her, I pray you can rejoice in knowing she is now walking with Jesus!
