I am not sure if you remember me, but my name is Cissy Brantley. We know you from OP pool and our daughters, Harriet and Campbell are the same age and have taken dance together and are at Sharon together. My son is in K at Sharon and I remember that Nate was same age as David Allen. I knew Jennifer from all of these activities. I had no idea that she was even sick. I am so so sorry for your loss. I have no idea what you and the kids are going through, but please know that we live in Foxcroft and I am happy to help with the kids in any way. I am in shock bc Harriet has talked about Campbell at school and then she came home friday and said that Campbell has missed school bc of her mother.
I see that Steve Montgomery sent you a note on this guestbook recently. He is also a friend and I adored his wife, Eileen. He is a wonderful man and father, so do reach out to him.
I am rambling but I just wanted to be in touch with you. We would love to have Campbell over to play so I will be in touch but meanwhile, call me if you need anything. 704-589-7576

Hi Mark. You don't know me. I didn't know Jennifer. I do know of your story. You and I share a special friend who kindly asked that I check on you. You and I also share a similar path. My 3 young kids and I being just a little further along the way than you and yours.
I chose to reach here. Someone dear to you may need to provide a gentle nudge. I know.
It's possible I could be helpful to you. My 3 kids are close in ages to yours and could be helpful as well. They're near professionals at most all of this. It's nothing short of remarkable what one can discover through the mind of 7-year-old child. While, we can't lean on em, we can most certainly listen to the Divine who works through them. Your Jennifer lives on in them. It's a beautiful thing.
Don't be Superman. I thought I was and could go it alone. I was horribly wrong. Those around you, who hold your family close, genuinely want to help. Let them. Learn to ask. Your village begs that of you. That's coming from a guy who never believed much in the concept.
Reach back if you want. I understand if you don't. I simply wanted you to know that you're not alone.

I have many fond and warm memories of growing up with Jennifer. Whether it was swimming, playing games in the neighborhood or how many hand stands & cart wheels we could do it was always a fun time. She had a wonderful light-heartedness about her and it was a pleasure to be in her company.

I was privileged to know Jennifer through her and her husband Mark's affiliation with Olde Providence Raquet Club. She was an attentive wonderful mother that I witnessed first hand. I will miss her and my thoughts are with Mark and her beautiful children.

Mr. Tommy, Mrs. Martha Sue, Karen, Alison, and Brad, Bill Gowen was kind enough to call me Friday to inform me of the tragic news regarding Jennifer's death. I grew up with Jennifer from grade school through high school. I remember in grade school I had the biggest crush on her. I was always too shy and was very intimidated by how smart and pretty she was. Even though we lost touch after high school it was a blessing to have known her and I will miss her. I have mentioned several times today, there is something to be said for a woman that has touched so many lives, including the lives of her friends from over 30 years ago. It was an honor to have been a Sandalwood Saint with Jennifer. It sounds like she remained the genuinely amazing soul that we knew and loved. To the entire Jennifer Greer family: We know that Jennifer will be sorely missed.It is hard to find the words to really comfort someone at the loss of a loved one. I only interacted with Jennifer a few times in high school. However, my overall impression and thoughts of her when I saw her pictures or heard her name, was that of a beautiful person on the inside and out. I remember her as being very sweet and I am so sorry to hear of her illness and your loss. I will pray for her family and everyone who knew her. Our hearts are broken over the loss of our sweet friend , Jennifer . We met when she and mark started dating and we've been close ever since . We will miss our family visits, NC State vs. Carolina games, and beach trips to Ocean Isle. She was a devoted wife, mother , daughter, sister, and friend .
