Mr. Spurlin you are truly missed and will always be remembered. I always felt at home when I came over to the Spurlin's. The house in Wilson Woods was like a second home when I was growing up. Your children and grandchildren were blessed to have you for a father and grandfather. I'm glad you were my friend too.

Our deepest condolences to the Spurlin family. Although I never met Mr. Spurlin, I know he must have been a great man to have raised such fine children. Linda, Brandi, Terry and Jamey - you and the rest of your family will be in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. God bless you.

Dad,
I don't even have the words to say how much we miss you and what an empty feeling your leaving has left behind. I remember all the times we went camping when we were younger and how much you loved hiking in the mountains and how much fun we had. Thank you for teaching me how to play softball and for giving me such a love for the sport. Your grandkids miss you so much but they will never forget you, we'll see to that.
We'll meet you in Heaven someday.
Love you always,
Elisha Johnson

To Linda and her family, I send the deepest condolences for your loss. I myself have suffered a loss this year. As a coworker of Linda's, I also offer my friendship and a shoulder to cry on; this applies to Brandi and Shirley as well. I love you all and will keep your family in my daily thoughts and prayers.

I grew up with Jerry's daughter
Linda. If I wasn't at home then I was at my second home The Spurlin's. They always welcomed me into their home and always made me fell like I was one of family.Me and Linda have been best friends since 4th grade and we are still best friends after 31 years! I will never forget how he always came to the door with his smile and would say hey come on in. He was so sweet.I didn't get a chance to see him but I miss him very much. May god bless the family. I love you all! Love John and Lisa Putnam

Shirley and Family,
We are saddened to learn of Jerry's death. He was our neighbor for years and was truly a nice gentleman.
Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

I would like to send my deepest
sympathy to Jerry's wife and family
for their lost.
Jerry was a classmate of mine at
Harding High School and I also was
acquainted with his twin sisters
Janet and Jean. I remember Jerry
as a happy-go-lucky teenager with
a sharp wit (which drove his
teachers "wild".) He was always
friendly and had a big smile for
everyone. Jerry's size in high school could have been intimidating
but, if you knew him well enough,
it was apparent he was just a big
ole teddy bear.
I admit it has been many years since
I have known Jerry's whereabouts;
but, I wanted you all to know that
he is fondly remembered in happy
childhood memories.
Am sure this is a most difficult
time for the family; but, God is
good and he loves us so much He
will see you through this coming
season.
God bless you.
