Jo Westfall Obituary

Jo Westfall CHARLOTTE - Jo Westfall, 73, passed away Friday evening, November 14, 2014, at her residence. Born February 13, 1941, in S. Charleston, WV, she was a daughter of the late Ernest E. and Ruth C. Williams. She received a Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia and a Master's Degree in Science from Central Michigan University. She worked 15 years at Thomas memorial Hospital in S. Charleston, WV, and more than 30 years in the lab technician at Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Survivors include her husband, Ronald Westfall, whom she married November 25, 1960; a son, Brian Lee Westfall of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; four grandchildren, Miranda Smith, Daniel Smith and his wife, Paula, Maci Westfall and Paul Williams; four great-grandchildren, Xavier, Brianna, Brandon and Lily Smith; two sisters, Ramona Beaver of Lee Vining, CA, and Phyllis Safreed of St. Albans, WV; and her dog, Buddy. Preceding her in death on March 30, 2004, was a daughter, Cindy Smith. Memorial services are planned for 1:00 pm Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Jo Westfall may be made to: Alzhiemer's Memory Center, 485 N. Wendover Rd., Charlotte, NC 28211.
