Joey Williams Obituary
'Big Joe'
Mr. Williams, age 45, of Charlotte, died April 28, 2007 at Carolinas Medical Center, University Hospital. A service to celebrate his life will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Hickory Grove Baptist Church Latin American Sanctuary, 6050 Hickory Grove Road, with Reverend John Harrill officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Mr. Williams was born in Charlotte May 30, 1961. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and was Project Foreman for Southern Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning for 28 years.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Klassette Williams; children, Devin Chase Williams and Christy Michelle Williams of Charlotte; mother and stepfather, Idell Williams Alexander and Clyde Bayne Alexander of Charlotte; sister, Linda Williams Hardy and husband, William D., of Charlotte; brothers, Thomas A. Williams and wife, Wanda, and Gary W. Williams and wife, Jeannie, all of Charlotte; and Richard L. Williams and wife, Lydia, of Concord, NC. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his father, Allen B. Williams.
Pallbearers will be Devin Williams, Rick Chapman, Josh Chapman, Chris Klassette, Terry Klassette, Bo Horne and Chad Helms.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 6050 Hickory Grove Road, Charlotte, NC 28215.
Arrangements are in care of Forest Lawn Funeral and Cremation Service, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC (704) 395-0055.

Words cannot begin to tell you how shocked, and saddened I was to hear about Joey. I remember when we worked together. How you were always coming in and telling us about his crazy antics. May God's loving arms surround you with His peace, and may you take comfort in knowing that our thoughts and prayers are with you, Devan and Christy.

You may not know me but I met your husband @ Papa Johns.I am also a volunteer @ Robinson Fire Dept.I passed your husband several times a week either at the store or the gas station.He was always a pleasure to talk to.
