I spent the last more than 4 years over seeing and helping with Johns care.
Although he spent a lot of time confused and not understanding what was going on at times ...he would read his bible daily and sometimes the bible would be upside down but his commitment to God was in his heart.
He would hold Butch (his stuffed dog) and read for hours.
I'll never forget one of our fist bible studies we had, just us two....
He said "God this is John MaGill here.....I just want to let you know that I have a lot of stuff down here and I got a lot of books, and God I just want you to know your welcome to come down here and swoop them up"
John had a kind giving heart and even wanted to give to God.
He would often ask me "God loves me and he's not mad at me" and I assured him that God loves him so very much.
Although I miss him, I have peace knowing that he is no longer lonely or confused.
He is in the presence of God and what a place heaven must be. Just the thought of him being with his animals which he never forgot not even for a minute. He would ask me often how his parents were doing and I would always answer saying " I think they are doing about the same" . Although I wouldn't always have the answers I was as honest and loving as I could be with him and he trusted me and would tell others "she takes care of me".
Well I know Gods got him now my jobs done but he will forever have a place in my heart.
I love and
Miss you
