John Liborio Mercuri, Sr.
ANDERSON -- Mr. Mercuri, 67, of 210 Driftwood Drive, husband of Doris Curving Mercuri, died Friday, January 9, 2009 at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born January 27, 1941 in Paterson, NJ, he was the son of the late Settimio and Agata Leo Mercuri. He was a retired salesman with Kent Gault Homes in Simpsonville and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Doris, of the home; children, John L. Mercuri, Jr. and wife, Menita of Mooresville, NC, Glen Mercuri and wife, Sonya of Oviedo, FL, Donna M. Bryant and husband, Gary of Belton, and Jeffrey John Mercuri and wife, Stacey of Huntersville, NC; grandchildren, Nicholas Mercuri, Alyssa Mercuri, Matthew Mercuri, Meagan Bryant, Kaylyn Mercuri, Dylan Bryant, Carolann Mercuri, Abigail Mercuri, Caroline Mercuri, and Amanda Bryant; and sisters, Mary Argentieri of Anderson and Lucy Laubshire of Belton. A brother, Anthony Mercuri, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel, conducted by Rev. Paul Frey. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the mortuary. The family is at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
