Mr. Smyre is survived by son, Major John Chadwick Smyre, daughter, Ashley Smyre, 4 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, brother, Buck Smyre.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Boone, 9/3/25 at 2:00 p.m. family will receive friends following.
