Steve - Nate - I always called him Nate - was my good friend and I loved him, as I'll always love you, Snadie. I have many cherished memories of him. I do find some comfort in knowing he died smiling. That's the way I remember Nate...smiling.

I am so sorry, Snade. I wish there was someway I could help ease the pain I know you're in. I send you my love, and a big cyber-hug. I hope I will be able to see you soon. I will keep trying to find the time and opportunity to come south for a few days.

To all his family and loved-ones, I send my deepest condolences. Steve was a damn good man, and, even though I hadn't seen him in years - life is so unfair, it seems - still, I will sincerely miss him. Always, he was, and remains, in my heart.
