Pageland, South Carolina - Mrs. Joyce Lorraine Davis King, age 76, of Pageland, SC, passed away on February 22, 2023. She was born on March 12, 1946, in Chester, SC. Joyce was the owner of King Funeral Home of Pageland and Concord. She was devoted mother and grandmother, and her family meant everything to her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Johnson King, Sr.
Joyce is survived by her children, Edward Johnson King, II, Hellen King Walker, Ellen King Amudipe, and William Hayward King.
Joyce was a community leader and businesswoman for over 50 years and was well-known in the funeral service community. She was a passionate advocate for the members of her community and took pride in providing excellent funeral service to the people of Pageland, SC.
Joyce will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her memory will be cherished and remembered forever.
Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Joyce Davis King will be held on Saturday March 4, 2023, at the Pageland Community Center, 1113 W Mcgregor St, Pageland, SC 29728 at 12:00pm. Viewing will be held at King Funeral Home of Concord 416 Old Charlotte Rd. SW, Concord, NC, 28027 on March 2, 2023, from 12:00pm to 8:00pm and a viewing will be held at King Funeral Home of Pageland 28797 Highway 9, Pageland, SC 29728 on Friday March 3, 2023, from 12:00pm to 8:00pm.
