Kevin Brower Obituary
Kevin, 35, of Charlotte, died August 2, 2008.
He was born October 1, 1972 in Greenville, SC to Ronnie James Brower and Karen Rankin Brower. He moved with his parents at an early age to Charlotte and was a 1990 graduate of East Mecklenburg High School and a 1995 graduate of UNC-Charlotte in Business Administration.
Kevin was an avid and dedicated body builder. For the past several years he was self-employed in the home repair and remodeling business.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Kevin Brower will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at McEwen Chapel at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
He is survived by his parents, Jim and Karen Brower of Charlotte, NC; sister, Ms. Wendy Brower, wife, Mrs. Vikki Brower; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Brower of Salisbury, NC; aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Chillcott, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Brown and Mrs. Chris Rowland; and a special friend, Jennifer Kendelhardt. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gray Rankin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Union County, P.O. Box 101 Monroe, NC 28211 or the Humane Society of Charlotte, 2700 Toomey Ave., Charlotte, NC 28203.

To the Brower Family: My heart goes out to you, no parent is ever prepared to lose a child. You are in my prayers. To his lovely sister, stay strong and remember everything your brother taught you. To Vikki...remember the good times and the laughs, paint with the passion you have in you. Draw away your pain from this horrific loss. You are a gifted artist and Kevin would want you to continue on your path and achieve your dreams.

Kevin was more than a friend to me he was my brother. My family and I loved him as one of our own.
I have so many great memories of KB I will always remember. As I type this I know now that my bro has peace and that is a great thing.

My brother was much like a gardian angel for me, always watching out and protecting me from harm. He was a fun loving fellow. He loved very deeply and had many friends. I thank God that he is finally at peace and can rest.

Kevins dedication to bodybuilding was an inspiration to all. He always worked so hard in the gym, giving it 100 percent everytime. I will miss seeing him greatly, he has impacted so many.

We are shocked and saddened to hear of this loss. We've known Kevin since junior high school, remained friends through college, then kept in touch through mutual friends after new jobs took us out of state for several years. We will always remember him as the fun loving and caring friend we had when we were young.
We are sorry we will not be able to attend the Memorial Service as we will be returning from Florida late Tuesday. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
